The United Church of Primghar, located in Primghar, IA, suffered a devastating fire. The Bell Choir Bells and a Nativity Scene were salvaged, but everything else was lost. Stained glass windows even needed to have framework redone and glass releaded.
Besides rebuilding the entire church, additional updates and improvements were made to upgrade the sewer system, to upgrade the lighting, sound and audiovisual systems, as well as installing a fire alarm system that will ring into the O'Brien County Community Center.
“We've been blessed with very conscientious workers, people who have cared about restoring our church,” stated Jack Black, one of the members of the rebuilding committee. “We've been very fortunate to have one contractor (L.J. Roth Restoration). The insurance company said that 'they sent us the best',” and Black is sure that that statement is true.
Speaking of L.J. Roth Restoration, Black also stated that the quickness of the job all goes back to the coordinators and and workers of the job. “You have to give that crew a lot of credit. Things were coordinated; when things needed to be done, the people were there.” Black wanted it known that the crew went above and beyond what was expected.
He hopes that no one ever has this happen to them, but if they do, they would be lucky to have a crew like L.J. Roth Restoration to put everything back together.
